How angles.video works
Turn what you built into a short video people get.
angles.video is a product-video tool for small SaaS teams and indie developers. Give it a product link, a screen recording, or a repository. It reads real facts, writes a few different ways to explain the product, and renders 9:16 and 16:9 videos, on camera or off, without taking time away from building.
1 · Give it a source
Demo product: our own open-source Skill repository. Figures come from the repo as of Sep 22, 2026; angle copy is illustrative.
- ✓Read the repository and product page
- ✓Collect public facts (commits, releases, contributors)
- ✓Write three different selling angles
- ✓Plan the scenes and build a preview
2 · Facts it found
3 · Pick a way to explain it
Each angle is its own scene plan. Switching the aspect ratio keeps the content and recomposes the frame. What you preview is what you export.
Ways in
Four ways in, one path to the finished video
The web app is the main door, but plenty of people decide they need a video while they are in their editor or shipping a release. Every door leads to the same engine.
Paste a product page
The most common way in. Angles reads the page, captures screenshots, writes a product brief, and works out selling angles from it. Add a line about your audience only when you want more control.
Best for: founders who just launched and have a landing page people don’t get.
Under the hood
From a link to an MP4 in seven stops
The highlighted stop is the one “in progress”. Select any stop to see what happens there.
Source · Link, recording, repository or release
Four ways in, one project. The web app, the Skill, the CLI and the GitHub Action all create the same kind of project through the same API.
- Coding agents use an API key you can revoke
- Raw repositories are never uploaded
- Recordings are transcoded before they reach a scene
Real facts
Every number on screen has to be true
The most common flaw in AI-written video scripts is a chart that claims “10x faster” out of nowhere. Give a project its public repository and Angles collects commit history, releases and contributors when the video is made. The numbers and charts in the scenes read from those facts.
When there is nothing to read, the scene is flagged as a placeholder instead of printing a draft into your video.
What makes it different
Rules built into the product
A few ways to explain it, not one answer
Pick from 23 framings, from the pain to behind the scenes, or let Angles pick three. You judge the story, not the template, and choose based on the real response. It never claims there is one best angle.
The preview is a promise
The browser preview and the cloud render share the same scene data and components. Exporting the same scene plan again returns the same video, without spending another one.
On camera or off
Rather not show your face? Captions and narration in nine languages carry the whole video. Want to appear? Record one take per sentence and it plays in a window on screen.
Your video, not our ad
No Angles logo, no watermark, no brand fallback in any scene. What you export belongs to your product.
Make it from your editor
The Claude Code and Codex Skill, the npm CLI, the developer API, and the GitHub Action turn “ship the code” and “make the video” into one motion.
Counted per export, free to start
Your first videos are free. After that, each export counts as one video. Previews can be retried as often as you like; only a confirmed export counts.
Who it’s for
Plenty of time building. Not enough time explaining.
Small SaaS teams and indie developers whose product is live, but who don’t yet have a video that makes it click in a few seconds.
“I am genuinely shy and uncomfortable on camera.”
Technical founder on Reddit→ Skip the camera and let captions and voice-over carry it, or record yourself in the browser.
“What software do you use to produce the videos? Any free solutions?”
Founder on Hacker News→ No video editing skills needed, and your first videos are free.
“Sometimes I want to create a short 10 second video showcasing a feature…”
Indie developer→ One feature, one short clip. Export it vertical or landscape.
What it deliberately doesn’t do
Try it on your own product.
Paste a product page or upload a recording in the web app, or run the open-source Skill from your editor. Your first videos are free.
